Mikura Inc. (“the Company”) hereby establishes the following Privacy Policy (“this Policy”) regarding the proper handling of our customers’ personal information, in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (Act No. 57 of 2003) (“APPI”). The Company is committed to protecting personal information.
1. Compliance with Relevant Laws and Regulations
The Company complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information, guidelines issued by the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan, and this Policy.
2. Definition of Personal Information
“Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI: information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained therein, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, or voiceprints, and the insurer number on a health insurance card or other information that can identify a specific individual by itself (“Individual Identification Information”).
3. Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company acquires the minimum necessary personal information required to achieve the purposes of use set forth in Section 4 below (“Purposes of Use”), using appropriate and fair means. We will use such personal information appropriately within the scope necessary to achieve these Purposes of Use.
4. Purpose of use of personal information

- To respond to customer inquiries
- To communicate regarding transactions with customers
- To conduct administrative procedures related to customer transactions
- To analyze acquired customer attribute information, contract information, product and service usage information, etc., to conduct studies and research related to improving the products and services we provide, promoting the effectiveness of advertising and marketing, and developing new products and services.

5. Acquisition of Personal-Related Information and Use of Statistical Data
- The Company may receive personal-related information from third parties and obtain it as personal data by linking it with personal data held by the Company. In such cases, the information will be used within the scope of the Purposes of Use.
- The Company may create statistical data that is processed so individuals cannot be identified, based on provided personal information. The Company may use such anonymized statistical data without any restrictions.
6. Security Control Measures
The Company makes efforts to take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to implement corrective actions and other security control measures.
7. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except as permitted by laws and regulations, the Company will not provide acquired personal information to any third party without obtaining the customer’s consent.
8. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing
The Company may outsource all or part of its personal information handling operations. In such cases, the Company will remain responsible for ensuring the proper handling of personal information by the contracted parties.
9. Accuracy of Personal Information
The Company strives to process personal information accurately based on the information provided. However, customers are responsible for ensuring that the personal information they provide is accurate and up-to-date.
10. Procedures for Disclosure, etc.
- Customers may request the notification of the purpose of use, disclosure of personal information or third-party provision records, correction/addition/deletion of personal information, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision (collectively, “Disclosure Requests”), in accordance with procedures separately prescribed by the Company.However, the Company may decline such requests in the following cases. Please note that fees prescribed separately by the Company will apply for requests for disclosure or notification of the purpose of use.
- (1) When disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the customer or a third party
- (2) When disclosure may significantly impede the proper execution of the Company’s operations
- (3) When disclosure would violate laws or regulations
- (4) When the Company cannot confirm that the request is made by the individual concerned
- If a service user requests correction, addition, or deletion of personal information, the Company will promptly conduct an investigation within the scope necessary to achieve the Purposes of Use, and make corrections/additions/deletions if permitted under the APPI.
11. Links from the Company’s Website
Although third-party websites linked from the Company’s official website are selected for safety and reliability, the Company assumes no responsibility for their handling of personal information or the content of such websites.
12. Use of Cookies
The Company’s website may use cookies to improve convenience and analyze usage. Customers may disable cookies through their browser settings if they do not wish to allow their use.
